Historical recreation of prison break in immersive virtual reality

Museums 4.0

Immersive technologies have made show-only museums obsolete – more than seeing, visitors demand to experience. In this installation, visitors use immersive virtual reality to experience firsthand the experience of escaping from a prison through a claustrophobic tunnel.

Physical Experience

Visitors using virtual reality don’t just watch a video – they physically crawl along a few feet, which in conjunction with the immersiveness of the experience provides a unique sense of presence in another space/time.
